Hanoi Tang Soo Do

Tang Soo Do (Way of the China hand) is a traditional martial art that originated in Korea. It incorporates both “hard” and “soft” forms of martial arts, drawing from Okinawan/Japanese karate, northern China style kung fu, and southern China style kung fu. Tang Soo Do focuses on strikes, kicks, and blocks, but also includes joint manipulation, take downs, and weapons training. Tang Soo Do is an excellent form of self-defense as well as sport, providing the opportunity to participate in sparring and forms competitions. Training in Tang Soo Do develops flexibility, balance, endurance, and strength as well as discipline, concentration, control, and self-confidence. Tang Soo Do is known for its powerful kicks and shares the same roots as Tae Kwon Do, but is now more similar to Shotokan Karate than it is to Tae Kwon Do.
